Barça Women found out this Friday their opponents in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland and saw Paris Saint-Germain named as the team to beat in the quarter-finals of Europe’s top women’s club competition, with the first leg being played in Barcelona. The Ministadium will host the first game on the 23 or 24 March and a week later on 30 or 31, the return leg will be played in Paris.

The draw for the semi-finals also took place so should the blaugranes overcome the French side in the last eight, then they would face the winner of the tie between Olympique Lyonnais and Slavia Prague.

Paris Saint-Germain were runners-up in the competition last season, losing to a last minute goal in the final against German side Frankfurt. Last year was also the first time that PSG had got beyond the quarter-finals, the round in which they face Barça this year. This summer the French brought in two important signings in the form of Brazilians Erika and Cristian, the latter their current top scorer in the competition with five goals.

To get to the last eight, the Parisian club knocked out Swedish side Örebro on away goals, a 1-1 draw in Sweden enough to send them through following a goaless draw in the second leg at in Paris.
