The Barça women’s team has moved even further ahead in the league championship after winning in Albacete while second placed Atlético Madrid could only draw 0-0 at home to Collerense.

Marta Corredera put the Catalans ahead after just three minutes and Barça went on to dominate in every aspect throughout the first 45 minutes. Sonia extended the lead before the first half hour was up to leave the visitors well in command. Albacete created more of a threat after the break, but Ràfols did a fine job in the FCB goal to ensure it all ended with a 2-0 wins and a third consecutive win for the runaway league leaders.

After 66 minutes, Xavi Llorens sent on Miriam Diéguez for her first official outing since getting injured six months earlier. The game also marked the farewell of Vicky Losada, who is off to play for the Arsenal Ladies in London.
