The U19A side settle for a point / ARXIU-FCB

The Barça U19 A side allowed two points to slip through their fingers as they were held to a goalless draw at home by UD Cornellà. The visitors’ defensive solidity saw them take a point in which Arnau Campeny and Rubén García made their debuts for Gabri García’s side.

The opening 45 minutes saw few chances for either side but with Barça having more of the ball and more of the game. Cornellà sat back and defended, making their gameplan obvious. Gabri’s side pushed for the opening goal and on the half hour mark they went close. Carles Aleñà's long range effort coming close to putting Barça ahead. Carles Pérez had another effort turned around the post by the goalkeeper as the side went in at half time all square.

After the restart the blaugranes had several chances to take the lead, Carles Pérez striking the crossbar. Cornellà were reduced to 10 men when Aparicio was sent off with a straight red but the home side were still unable to find a way through. The impressive Paik and Aleñà once again had opportunities but it was not to be and the point leaves the U19A side in fourth place in the table on 31 points.
