[[DES_1]] The Barça U19 A side is through to the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League following a goalless draw against Paris Saint-Germain at the Mini Stadium in Barcelona. The side coached by Jordi Vinyals had the better of the game and enjoyed several great chances to take the lead, especially in the first half. Nevertheless, a draw was enough for the blaugranes to book their ticket to the knock out stages of the competition.

The blaugranes began strongly and had an opportunity to open the scoring with barely a minute played. Amir picked the ball in space and exchanged passes with Ros before the latter failed to find the target from inside the area. Another chance followed shortly after with Moha going close, his effort from outside the box testing French keeper Descamps.

A draw enough

PSG for their part only threatened on the counter attack and when they did get through, Barça keeper Onana was their to deny them. The home side still appeared the more likely to score and five minutes before half time Padilla picked up a good pass from Enguene before shooting wide. There was still time in the first half for Moha to go close once more prior to half time.

In the second half PSG, aware that a draw was not enough for them to go thorugh, pushed men forward and began to threaten. Nevertheless, the blaugrana defence remained firm and keeper Onana once more showed his quality with an important save with 20 minutes of the game remaining. With a draw enough for the U19 A side to make it through, there was no need for Vinyals side to take unneccesary risks and at the final whistle the youngsters were able to celebrate their passage to the next round. The draw will take place on the 15th of December.
