FC Barcelona’s Juvenil A team took a giant step at the top of the table this afternoon as they took on Damm FC. Jordi Vinyals’ men defeated the home team thanks to their brilliant football in a week marked by the end of the UEFA Youth League group stage, where Barça finished first. Enguene, Palencia, Maxi and Munir all got on the score sheet.
Hard work pays off in the first half
The first half was marked by Barça’s dominance from beginning to end. The Blaugrana played their attacking style of football and quickly took the lead after 10 minutes thanks to a strike from Enguene. The home team tried to fight back but Barça’s solid defence did well to avert any danger.
Before the break, Palencia scored to double Barça’s lead.
12th victory of the season
Nothing changed in the second half. Maxi scored to put Barça three up, and Munir, in the dying minutes of the match, made it 0-4.
With this victory Barça increase their lead at the top of the table to nine points. Their record stands at 12 victories from 15 matches.
