Paulinho played all 90 minutes for Brazil | CBF

The preparations continues for the World Cup in Russia later this month with Brazil defeating Croatia 2-0 in a game played at Liverpool FC's stadium, Anfield, in England. Tite's side ran out winners thanks to goals from Neymar and Firmino playing on his home club ground.

Barça midfielder Paulinho played all 90 minutes and his club and country team mates Coutinho played all but the final 10 minutes at his former home. Fellow blaugrana Ivan Rakitic played 83 minutes for Croatia as he gets ready for what will be his second World Cup. Paulinho also has experience of playing in international football most prestigious tournament but it will be a first for Barça's January signing Coutinho.

Elsewhere, the Spanish national side were also in action on Sunday. Julen Lopetegui's team were held to a 1-1 draw by Switzerland despite taking the lead through Odriozola. Gerard Piqué played all 90 minutes, Jordi Alba 78 and Andrés Iniesta 55.
