Barça players celebrating one of many goals at the Camp Nou this past season | MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

With the 2017/18 season reaching its conclusion last weekend, now is an ideal time for taking stock of some of the records set by Barça this campaign. A win against Real Sociedad on the final matchday means that the club have now gone 36 home games unbeaten in LaLiga, consisting of 30 wins and just 6 draws.

Not since 10 September 2016, when Alavés won 1-2 at the Camp Nou, have a visiting side taken the three points there. The 20-month run is the best so far this century for FC Barcelona.

The second best run of the 21st Century stretched from September 2010 to April 2012, when Barça went 34 league games without suffering a loss at the Camp Nou (31 wins and 3 draws).

The all-time record still some distance away

The longest ever unbeaten home streak for the club is not yet within reach. It stands at 67 LaLiga games, and was set between March 1973 and February 1977.

Taking into account all clubs, Real Madrid went 49 games unbeaten earlier this century.  Below are some of the main clubs' best runs since the turn of the millenium.
