“It was a difficult year, but I am confident and everyone believes in me"

The forward also commented on his development since arriving at the Camp Nou.

"I've learned a lot tactically and also defensively. I defend a lot, despite us being a team who have a lot of possession. At Barça, you have to be very careful not to lose the ball."

In terms of his current fitness,Dembélé assured the media that "I have felt good for weeks. I felt good on the pitch against Italy, and now there is no problem." He scored a goal in that 3-1 win against the Italians.

Finally, he spoke about his teammates in the French national team: "Griezmann is a great striker; if he came to Barça it would be very good for us. Mbappe and I get on very well, on and off the pitch. He's a great friend. He's a player with many qualities and, for me, he's the best young player in the world."
