By the numbers: Girona, Suárez's 24th victim

Luis Suárez extends his personal list of teams he has scored against with FC Barcelona to 24 on the day he played his 100th La Liga game as a blaugrana. The Uruguayan scored his 86th goal in the league against the recently promoted Girona meaning he has scored against 24 of the 25 teams he has faced.

Málaga are the only side who have managed to avoid being on the receiving end of Barça’s clinical number ‘9’. His most popular victims are Sporting, who he has scored eight against followed by Espanyol and Betis, with seven.

Moreover, the goal he scored in Montilivi means Suárez has 123 in all competitions with Barça. He only needs another four goals to get into the Club’s all-time Top-10 list of leading scorers with Arocha on 127.

MONTILIVI CONQUERED BY FC BARCELONA

This Saturday’s match was the first Girona v Barça in the First Division. Therefore, it was the first time FC Barcelona played in their stadium in the domestic competition.

Their victory makes it the 85th stadium Barça have won at which puts them top of the list. Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid follow on 83 and 79 respectively. 13

Of all those, Valverde has the best goal difference with an impressive +18. This is also the Barça coach’s best run in the league with his previous best being five consecutive wins when coaching Athletic.

MILESTONES FOR INIESTA AND ROBERTO

Like Luis Suárez, Sergi Roberto also made it a century of La Liga appearances against Girona. In his first 100 matches, Roberto has scored once, against Betis last month, and given ten assists. The latest was to Suárez at the Montilivi on Saturday.

Against Girona, Iniesta made his 300th appearance as a starter in the La Liga with a total figure of 417 domestic league appearances.
