Jordi Alba during the opening league match of the campaign | MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

FC Barcelona made their sixth signing of the summer earlier this week by bringing in Paco Alcácer from Valencia, and one man who knows him better than most believes it is a superb decision by the club.

Jordi Alba, who is currently on international duty for Spain with the striker, says “Barça has chosen very well with the signing of Paco Alcácer”.

The Barça full-back, who has played alongside Alcácer both with Valencia and Spain, says that his teammate is “very calm and very enthusiastic” as well as “a great friend and a great signing”.

Jordi Alba, Gerard Piqué, Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto are currently all on duty for Spain along with Alcácer, and after their first win under new boss Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday against Belgium (2-0), they are now preparing for Monday’s game against Liechtenstein.
