Who needs an off-day?

Less than 24 hours after getting a late equalizer to secure a 1-1 league draw at Real Betis (Highlights, Match Report), and with no time to lose, FC Barcelona reappeared on the lush, green training turf at the Ciutat Esportiva.

Barça were still in recovery mode when they began preparations for their next match — Wednesday’s Copa del Rey semifinal first leg at Atlético Madrid.

With the calendar having zig-zagged back and forth for the last month between weekend league matches and midweek Cup games, Barça, the two-time defending champions in both competitions, have had to adjust their attention span accordingly.

On Monday, head coach Luis Enrique Martínez oversaw a blend of his available first-teamers and the Barça B players Abeledo, Marlon, Mujica and Carbonell.

The players who started Sunday’s draw in Sevilla performed recovery work.

Barça train again Tuesday morning at 11.00am CET, their last workout before heading to the Spanish capital.
