The mood was naturally very positive indeed at FC Barcelona on Monday morning. Anything but a win at the Bernabéu would have left the Liga challenge hanging on a very thin string indeed, but Messi’s late winner turned frustration into joy and brought the title challenge flying back to life in spectacular fashion.

But Barça need to keep picking up the wins in the run-in to the end of the season, because although they currently top the table, Real Madrid do have a game in hand. This Wednesday, the top two are back in action, Barcelona at home to Osasuna at 7.30pm CET (TICKETS) and Madrid at Deportivo two hours later.

So it was straight back to the training ground on Monday for the full squad, who were joined by Carles Aleñá of Barça B in bright sunshine. The main focus was on regaining strength after the previous night’s exertions, with just one more session on Tuesday at 11.00am CET before it’s time to do it all over again.
