Update on the FC Barcelona players out on loan

The latest on the progress of Halilovic, Tello, Montoya and Song with their different teams

This season, FC Barcelona has three more players out on loan deals in addition to the two-year agreement that was already in place for Cristian Tello.

Alen Halilovic has got off to an especially impressive start at Sporting Gijón, where he has played in six of the seven games so far and provided two assists and one goal in last weekend’s win at Espanyol. Nacho Cases, one of the bastions of the Asturian club, recently said that “he is an outstanding player; he sees things that other players do not.” He even went as far as to compare the striker to Messi!

Tello is into his second season on loan at Porto. In his first year, he was one of the key figures at the Portuguese outfit, playing 24 games and scoring seven goals, being named league player of the month in March. More of the same is expected from the Catalan this term.

Martín Montoya and Alex Song are looking to get more time at Inter Milan and West Ham, respectively. The Cameroonian is currently recovering from an ankle injury and is due to make his return later this month.
