The FC Barcelona 'trident' reach 100 goals

Since the start of the campaign Luis Suárez has now scored 42 goals, Messi 35 and Neymar 23

The victory in Ipurua over Eibar keeps Barça in an ideal position in the league thanks to their 4-0 win in the Basque Country. Furthermore, with two goals from Leo Messi and one from Luis Suárez in the win, the blaugranes’ attacking trio have recorded 100 goals in all competitions with the team now in the midst of a record breaking 36 games unbeaten run in the league, Copa del Rey and Champions League.

Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez have barely had a dry spell this season since the campaign kicked off back in August with the UEFA and Spanish Super Cups. The Argentine was forced to miss two months of action due to injury but since then he has come roaring back and now has 21 goals in the league. The Barça number 10 can now boast 35 goals in all competitions in 2015/16.

Luis Suárez is the top scorer amongst the three amigos. His strike in Ipurua means he now has 26 in the league and 42 in all competitions, putting his hat firmly in the ring as a candidate for the European Golden Shoe. Neymar missed the game against Eibar due to suspension so missed out on the chance to add to his contribution of 23 goals and 10 assists since the startof the season.

The team’s objective is to win trophies and in doing so the three up front will be aiming to surpass the 122 goals they mustered between them in 2014/15. With 100 now in the bag and with almost three months of the season still to go, it seems that challenge is well within their grasp.
