On tour with FC Barcelona in the United States, where the club is carrying out their pre-season tour, Luis Suárez talked to the media about his expectations ahead of the new season. The striker talked about the various tough away games in the first half of the season: "It's always difficult and you have to be strong against all your rivals. The start of the schedule isn't a handicap but rather a motivation, and it will keep us from relaxing in the early season, which didn't go the way we wanted last year."

From the get go

Suárez also still has last season's glorious finale in mind. "While a great club like Barca does dream, you never imagine winning it all," he acknowledged. At the same time, Suárez admitted that he had some unfinished business from his first year at Barça: "You need to get some rhythm for the first few games, which is why we have a preseason, to work hard from the start."

That's why he is convinced. "This year, starting out at the same pace as my teammates, will be different. I want the group to have another great year."

"There are some young faces and it's still a pretty nice nice group," Suárez said, when asked about the first few days of the preseason.
