The FC Barcelona first team have carried out on Monday their penultimate training session ahead of the game against Chelsea. The session was open to the media for 15 minutes and took place at 10.30am (local Washington DC time) and was the second to take place at the American University in the US capital.

The 24 players exercised normally, and following the warm up the session took on a familiar look with ball and physical work. As has been the case during the tour wherever Barça have trained, there was great expectation with blaugrana fans wanting to get a glimpse of their idols. Once the session was over, Thomas Vermaelen spoke to the waiting press.

The second session of the day will take place at 6.30pm (local Washington DC time) at the FedEX Field Landover, the stadium that will host the final game of Barça’s US tour against Chelsea on Tuesday (8.00pm local time, 2.00am Wednesday CET).
