Sandro, Munir and Halilovic nominated for Golden Boy 2015

The two first team strikers and the Croatian on loan to Sporting are among the 40 candidates to be named the best under 21 player of the year

It was revealed on Friday that FC Barcelona strikers Sandro Ramírez and Munir el Haddadi are among the 40 players that have been nominated for the Golden Boy 2015 award presented by Italian publication Tuttosport. It goes to the best under 21 player of the year, and the short-list also features the Barça player currently on loan to Sporting Gijón, Alen Halilovic, as well as two products of La Masia: Adama Traoré of Aston Villa and Hector Bellerín of Arsenal.

This is the second year in a row that Sandro and Munir have been in the running for the prize, but last time round it ended up being scooped by Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, who has of course since moved on to Manchester City.
