Luis Suárez has a lively day against Las Palmas / MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

FC Barcelona had to fight tooth and nail to win at Las Palmas and maintain their place at the top of the league table. Luis Suárez and Neymar scored the goals as three very important points were added to the collection.

Suárez has now scored 25 goals after 24 league games, enough to move him to the top of the European goalscoring charts, ahead of Gonzalo Higuaín of Napoli, who play Milan in Serie A on Monday.

Barça have now extended their record-breaking unbeaten run to a massive 32 games.

Javi Varas was very much the reason why Barça failed to kill of the game in Las Palmas. The home goalie made six crucial saves for his team, with a 75% effectiveness rate.
