Following his team’s late comeback victory over Bayer Leverkusen at Camp Nou, FC Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique spoke to the press to talk about the effort, the result, and even the fans who patiently waited an hour and twenty minutes but, in the end, were handsomely rewarded.

Here’s what Luis Enrique said on those topics and more:

On the restless crowd:

“I’m not going to say anything bad about the fans. We need their support.”

On the players:

"This team runs and goes all out every game."

"My players deserve a huge amount of credit for turning around a very difficult situation."

"The team's faith was indestructible today."

"That's football. Sometimes you win with faith, sometimes with heart, and sometimes with great play. It's clear today it was about faith."

On playing without Messi:

"It was a tough night. It was our second game without our best player, and our second win."

On injuries:

"The injury to Iniesta is terrible news.”

“These are thorns in our side that we have to shake off."

"We'll show everyone that we can overcome these things."

On whether Bayer surprised Barça:

"It's always tough to overcome the kind of pressure that Bayer put on us tonight."

"They didn't give us any easy possessions."

On whether he sees Barça winning the group:

"I said when we were drawn into Group E that it was a tough group. When the last game is over, we’ll see."

In conclusion:

"I'm really happy for the win, it's time to celebrate with my family, and on to the next one."
