Following Barça's defeat at San Mamés in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, Luis Enrique spoke accepted the mistakes of the team: "It was not our best version, we were unlucky at some points where we handed chances to Athletic."

Nevertheless, the coach stressed the "good phases of play [early on] in the match."

There's no time for regrets, as Barça will look to make a big comeback at Camp Nou on Monday at 10.00pm CET. "It isn't pretentious to think about a comeback," Luis Enrique said, before adding, "If there is one team in Europe that's able to come back, it's us."

More statements:

"Of course I care about the mistakes and letting in so many goals. We're trying to fix that. Football is a game of mistakes."

"I assume responsibility for the rotations after playing with less than three days' rest. But I have faith in these players and I would put out the same lineup again."

"It's no time to look for excuses, we have to try and improve our performance."

"The scoreboard can no longer be changed. On Monday the atmosphere will be in our favour and we'll try to turn it around for our people. We need a quick goal."

"I've never played an easy match against Athletic, as a coach or as a player. They took advantage of our mistakes. We had good chances from Messi and Pedro, and on the next play they scored again."
