He owned his side of the field and distributed key passes wherever he trod, including an absolutely delightful piece of skill to set up Iniesta for goal number three. He’s now scored three goals in five Clásico appearances.

The midfield

Rakitic managed to recover in time and was stunning in the middle of park. Sergio Busquets showed why people are saying he’s the best midfielder in the world right now, while Andrés Iniesta displayed the same elegance and intelligence on the field that we have grown so used to seeing. And he topped off his evening with a goal that will be remembered for many years to come.
