The Barça players train in the Los Angeles rain / MIGUEL RUIZ-FCB

A wet and rainy atmosphere welcomed the players for their first contact with the Stub Hub Center in Los Angeles. Luis Enrique and his players did the first 20 minutes of training on the fields used by the US men’s and women’s national teams.

The session consisted of the usual stretching exercises and warm-up drills as the players recovered from an almost 12 hour flight from Barcelona to California. So it was a gentle workout this morning, with a tougher session scheduled for later in the day.

There were 24 players involved, 21 from the first team and three from the reserves, Samper, Gumbau and José Suárez. The new face today was goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen, who was allowed to return to duty somewhat later than the bulk of the squad due to his participation in the U21 European Championship.
