Barça record over the last years / FCB

From 17 May 2006 — that was when FC Barcelona beat Arsenal in the final of the Champions League at the  Stade de France in Paris — until Wednesday's defeat at the Vicente Calderón, nine years, ten months and 24 days went by. Paris, Rome, London and Berlin are four cities that have marked the club's history in the last ten years, for the four titles won there are the highlights of a decade of blaugrana prestige on the European stage.

The great successes achieved in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015 are even more important if you consider that AC Milan, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have been the only other teams able to win it all (once each) over the same period.

Knockout stage shoe-in

It's been eleven years since Barça have been knocked out in the group stage. The team were KO'd in the last 16 in 2006/07, while in 2007/08 2009/10 2011/12 and 2012/13 Barça were eliminated in the semi-finals. The only two times Barça fell in the quarter-finals came in the 2013/14 and 2015/16, both against Atlético Madrid. The team knows the old adage, 'you can't win 'em all' and that next season will present a new opportunity to demonstrate the club's dominance in continental play.
