FC Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique was repeating what he already knew — that Málaga had been making a real habit of complicating games for FC Barcelona as of late. Nevertheless, the Catalans emerged with a 2–1 victory on Saturday at La Rosaleda.

“Málaga always create problems for us, and they did it again,” he said. “It’s tough to recall such a weak first-half for us.”

But despite those issues, Luis Enrique was content. “It reinforces us to win a game that we didn’t play well at a place where it’s difficult to play.”

Here are the highlights of what he had to say:

On Málaga:

“They managed play well and found space to operate. The difficulties we had were due as much to Málaga’s merit as they were to us.”

“There are many factors that influence a football game, not one specific thing. Javi Gracia is a top-notch coach.”

On the second half:

“We were in better form which, along with the victory, is what I’ll take away from the game.”

“We tried to be a little more careful while being less precise.”

“Our goal gave us confidence, but it was tough.”

“After a poor first half the only thing we could do was to improve. The players who came in for the second half played very well."
