Moments after the final whistle of Sunday's 3–0 win in Granada, the FC Barcelona players segued right into an impromptu celebration on the dry, sun-splashed, Andalusian grass, just in front of the bench area.

Hundreds of fans who, in anticipation of a new La Liga title, had accompanied the team on their trip to the south of Spain, joined in as the joyous celebration continued in the visitors' dressing room at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes.

The jubilation will pick up again on Sunday afternoon when the team will lead a victory parade through the streets of Barcelona.

Meanwhile, as the players were hugging and dancing down in Granada, about 800km away, back in the Catalan capital, Barça fans began arriving at Las Ramblas, as tradition dictates, to celebrate the championship at the famed Canaletas Fountain.

With all aboard the return flight to Barcelona, the Club's directors and coaching staff held their glasses of cava aloft and made a toast to the league title.

The final chapter of a long day filled with elation played out back at the team's training centre, the Ciutat Esportiva, where hundreds of fans, who had patiently waited, greeted the newly crowned La Liga champions.
