FC Barcelona against Real Madrid is simply the biggest match in club football where the best players in the world do battle for 90 minutes.

Ahead of Saturday’s duel, we have provided a collection of stats and facts that you need to know about this classic fixture.

Of the 85 Clásicos that have taken place at Camp Nou, Barça have won on 49 occasions, while 19 have ended in Real Madrid wins and 17 in draws.

Barça have yet to lose a game this season in which they have scored first while Madrid have lost just once in 24 games they have done so.

Of the current two squads, Dani Alves has faced Madrid the most times (26), 15 of which have been in a Barça shirt.

Andrés Iniesta and Sergio Ramos with 21, and Leo Messi, with 19, have competed in the most Clásicos.

Cristiano Ronaldo has featured in the most matches this season of either side; Keylor Navas, Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suárez have each played 28.

Ronaldo is also the top scorer with 28. Of the two strikeforces, Luis Suárez has the best rate with 50% of his shots going on target, of which 49.05% end in a goal.

Barça’s front three lead the way when it comes to assist. Suárez has 12 while Neymar Jr and Messi have ten each. Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Koke (Atlético Madrid) follow with nine.

Neymar has created the most chances, with a total of 82, followed by Messi (55) and Toni Kroos (46).

In defence, Barça have conceded 24 compared to Madrid’s 28 while the Catalans have also limited their opponents to fewer shots on goal (304-342).

Barça have kept 13 clean sheets this season, while Madrid have kept ten.

Madrid keeper Keylor Navas has made the fifth most saves in the league (18). Adán (22, Betis), Andrés Fernández (21,Granada), Javi Varas (20, Las Palmas) and Guaita (19, Getafe) lead the way, while Claudio Bravo has made 10.
