The other teams who have booked their place in the competition are River Plate (Copa Libertadores winners), Club América (CONCACAF Champions League winners) and Auckland City (OFC Champions League winners).

The remaining three clubs will be the winners of the Asian and African Champions Leagues, as well as the Japanese League champions as guests. These three participants will be announced in November.

One of the conditions of the draw is that Barça and River Plate go directly into the semi-finals and on opposite sides of the draw. Therefore, the Catalan club and Argentine side can only meet in the final.
