Chile and Bravo face Colombia for place in Copa America Final

The FC Barcelona goalkeeper his hoping to emulate club colleagues Mascherano and Messi and earn a trip to New York for Sunday's final

Claudio Bravo and the Chile side he captains will be looking to emulate Argentina’s glorious performance against the United States on Tuesday and join Messi and Mascherano in the Copa America Centenario final.

After being crowned champions of America for the first time last year on home soil, Chile are now looking to double-up in a final against the same side they met last time around. But to do that, they are going have to get past a fine Colombia side at Soldier Field, Chicago (KO 8.00pm EDT, 2.00am CET).

Since losing to Argentina, 2-1 in their opening game, Chile beat both Bolivia and Panama to ensure that they qualified from the group in second place. Managed by former Barça man Juan Antonio Pizzi, ‘La Roja’ followed by this by delivering an absolute pounding to Mexico, 7-0, in the quarter final.

Without the talismanic Arturo Vidal, who is suspended, they are up against a Colombia side that beat the USA and Paraguay to qualify out the group stage with a game in hand, for which they rested several key men against Costa Rica. The ‘Cafeteros’ then beat Peru on penalties to secure their spot in the final four.
