Barça celebrate one of their three goals versus Arsenal on Wednesday night. / MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

  • The match at the Camp Nou against Arsenal was the 50th this season for Barça, and their record is impressive: 39 wins, eight draws and just three defeats. The only teams that have managed to win there have been Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup, and Celtic and Sevilla in the league.

  • In 2016 passed Barça have not yet lost — 19 wins and two draws, without any defeats. 68 goals for and only 12 against, numbers that have helped Barça run their unbeaten streak to 38 matches.

  • Luis Enrique's record of in two-leg ties is also impeccable, having yet to be knocked out of any of the 12 rounds Barça have played. Four have been in the Champions League, and eight more — four each season — in the Copa del Rey.

  • After beating Arsenal 5-1 on aggregate, Barça are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the ninth consecutive year, which has never been achieved by any team. The closest is Manchester United's six straight between 1997 and 2003.

  • The Barça trident was back with a vengeance, with all three scoring in a single game for the eleventh time this season — eight times in La Liga, once in the Copa del Rey and twice in the Champions League. Neymar Jr opened the scoring in the first half, Suarez put Barça back up after Arsenal equalised, and Messi put the nail in the coffin in the 88th minute.

  • The three strikers shot 12 times at the Gunner goal: Messi six, Suárez three and Neymar three. Arsenal keeper David Ospina made several other great saves to avert a trident scoring frenzy.

  • Leo Messi has scored nine goals versus Arsenal in his career. In addition, he always scores against the Gunners at Camp Nou. He did it in 2010, 2011 and beat them again on Wednesday.

  • Luis Suárez got back on the score sheet, and now has 43 goals in the 42 games he has played so far this season, just slightly more than one goal per game.
