The month ahead includes the second Clásico of the season / MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

FC Barcelona face a busy month ahead, including five league matches and a two-legged Champions League quarter-final tie against Atlético Madrid.

Proceedings get underway with the second Clásico of the league campaign against Real Madrid on Saturday 2 April at Camp Nou.

Preparations begin from Monday while Luis Enrique slowly recuperates the 18 players that were away on international duty over the past ten days.

Barca have a sizeable nine point advantage over Atlético, and ten points over Real Madrid, but are not resting on their laurels. The Catalans have eight league matches, and know that another 15 points will seal the league title.

Shortly after the highly-anticipated derby comes the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Atlético, also at home, on 5 April.

In between both legs, which take place within just eight days of each other, is a tricky league match away to Real Sociedad on 9 April.

Once the European tie has been settled, three league challenges lie ahead in the form of Valencia at home, Deportivo away and Sporting at home.

And should Barça progress past Atlético then the first leg of the Champions League tie will take place on 26 or 27 April.

With the 39-match unbeaten record still intact, Luis Enrique’s men will be aiming to keep it alive through a busy month which holds at least seven, possibly eight, key fixtures on the road to more success.
