What to expect for the week with Ajax and Real Madrid

FC Barcelona will train every day to be in the best possible shape for this week's bouts in the Champions League and La Liga

In what is shaping up to be a decisive week for Barça, highlighted by their heavyweight duel against Real Madrid on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu, the team will train every day at 11.00 AM CET without exception. But before the Catalans can fully focus en El Classico, they must deal with pesky Dutch side Ajax, led by Frank de Boer, in the third match in this season's Champions League on Tuesday at 8.45 PM CET at the Camp Nou. The mid-week contest will be just the second ever between the two sides in Barcelona. In the first meeting last year, Barça routed Ajax 4-0.

The El Classico is both clubs' ninth match in La Liga this season and is set for 6.00 PM CET. Barça will meet for a team breakfast on Saturday morning at 8.45 AM CET at la Ciutat Esportiva. At 9.30 AM CET those traveling will depart for Madrid, while training is scheduled for those staying behind. Sunday will be an off day.
