Marc-André ter Stegen coming out onto the field at Parc des Princes / MIGUEL RUIZ- FCB

A day before the game against PSG, the first leg of their Champions’ League quarter-final, Marc-André ter Stegen has spoken before the press at the Parc des Princes to give his opinion on Barça’s chances ahead of the clash. “If we are at our level and we show our quality then we will have a great chance to beat PSG,” admitted the German goalkeeper. On the two previous meetings between the sides in this season’s competition, Ter Stegen was adamant: “The past doesn’t matter we can only look forward.”

Below are some of the most important highlights from the Barça goalkeeper’s appearance before the press.

“We are happy to be back here. Right now this is the only game that there is, later we can talk about what is coming.”

“We have to be focused. What has happened in the past now is not important. If we play as we know how, then we have a great chance to get a good result.”

“Every game is different and PSG have plenty of quality. It will be important to be faithful to our style. We know we have to give our best and at that at Camp Nou we have that bit extra, but we have to focus on the game in Paris.”

“In the Champions League you always have to be switched on. Against City was the best example. We were focused in that game and if we are concentrated then we can beat anyone. The results show that we are ambitious and hungry.”

“I am confident and I think that my last few games have been good and I am hungry to play. I have to keep helping the team and look to the future.”
