"We're in good position. First in La Liga and in the final of the Spanish Cup. It couldn't be better," says FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen in an interview with UEFA.com, referring to both his and his team's state of form. "The Champions League is always special. Everyone wants the trophy and that is what we fight for every day," he added.

Ter Stegen has played 18 matches this season in the Champions League and the Spanish Cup — only missing the return leg against Huesca — and is happy to see action in both competitions. "It's a reward for my work," he said, explaining that the most difficult for him is "not playing with a weekly rhythm." But he also said that his fellow goalkeeper Claudio Bravo "is playing very well in La Liga."

From Monchengladbach to Barcelona

The German goalkeeper, in just his first season at Barcelona, believes that he has had to change his game after signing with FC Barcelona. "For me it's a different style of play," admitted Ter Stegen, who has adapted perfectly to Barça's style. He also sees a big difference between the cities of Monchengladbach and Barcelona. "It was a big change, it's a different culture," the goalkeeper said.
