Slovakia shock Spain (2-1)

Spain crashed to a 2-1 defeat away to Slovakia on Thursday night in their second Euro 2016 qualifier Five Barça players figured in Del Bosque's team

Spain crashed to a 2-1 defeat in their Euro 2016 qualifying game away to Slovakia on Thursday night. Jordi Alba’s excellent cross set up substitute  Alcacer  for the visitors’ only goal on 81 minutes and Spain seemed to have grabbed a draw, following a first half opener from Kucka, only for a dramatic last gasp header from Stoch to send Slovakia top of the group with two wins from two.

Del Bosque started with four Barça players in the starting line-up – Alba, Piqué, Busquets and Iniesta, and brought Pedro on for the last half hour, when he switched to three at the back, but this wasn’t a vintage performance from the reigning European champions, who now travel to Luxembourg for their next qualifying game on Sunday
