Barça are unstoppable in the cup this season. The 3-2 win at the Vicente Calderón maintains their 100% win record in the tournament. Here’s our statistical look back at a marvellous night in Madrid.

  • In these games, FCB have scored 25 goals and conceded a mere three.
  • The two at the Calderón were the first against Marc-André ter Stegen in the cup. Masip was in goal the day of the 8-1 win over Huesca.
  • Miranda’s was Barça’s second own goal of the season. Sidnei also scored for the wrong team in the 4-0 win at Deportivo.
  • FC Barcelona have won all five games where Alves, Piqué, Mascherano and Alba have started in defence. The other were the 5-1 defeat of Espanyol, 3-1 against Atlético in the league, 4-0 at Deportivo and both legs against Atlético in the cup.
  • Javier Mascherano was one of three Barça players to get booked at the Calderón and is the only one who is now one yellow away from suspension.
  • Jérémy Mathieu returned from injury last night, thus playing for the first time since the 4-0 win at Elche in the cup, when he scored a great free-kick.
  • FC Barcelona had not won 3-2 since the trip to Villarreal last season, when they came back from 2-0 down to take the three points.
  • Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets won the most balls at the Calderón, 12 and 10 respectively.
  • Alba also made the most passes (92), including his assist for Neymar to get the third FCB goal of the night.
In green, Alba's completed passes. In red, his incompleted passes. And in blue, his goal assist.
