Sandro Ramírez's youth team goals

The Canary Islander has already won a reputation for scoring top class goals

The Canary Islander (9/07/1995) made his official first team debut on Sunday at Villarreal and marked the occasion in the best possible way. He scored the only goal of the game of the match in the 82nd minute to secure three crucial points for his team. Sandro joined the Barça youth system from Unión Deportiva Las Palmas in 2009, playing for the U15 side under Víctor Sánchez, and since then he has never stopped scoring.

He missed much of the 2011/12 season with the U17 team due to injury, but overcame that setback to get back on the path towards professional career in the game. By 2013, he was playing for Barça B, and attracting the attention of the football world with his dazzling performances.

Much of his goalscoring ability is the result of his natural talent for reading attacking plays and putting himself in the right position at the right time. Which is exactly how he scored against Villarreal, beating the home defenders to tuck home an assist from Leo Messi.

This video compilation of Sandro’s finest goals for the different Barça youth teams is a wonderful tribute to somebody for whom the dream is only just starting to come true. Let’s hope we get to enjoy plenty more goals like these in the future!
