[[DES_1]] Pedro captained the side in their 0-4 win over Elche and after the game echoed Luis Enrique’s praise for their attitude: “we took the game very seriously, we got the goals early on and we did a great job. Now we have to focus on this weekend’s league game and then the quarter finals”.

Looking to that tie against Atlético Madrid, Pedro insisted: “sure we just beat them in the league, but every game is different. We know this is a tie over two legs – they are a tough team and we know they will be intense games, but we hope to get through”.

Finally, Pedro stressed the importance of the penalty he scored: “I’m very happy with it. It helps give you confidence and more importantly it helped the team get the win”.

Sergi Roberto also spoke to the press after the game:

“Coming into the match 5-0 up we could have played it easy, but we knew we had to take our chances - especially those of us who are getting less game time and that’s why we played with such intensity”

“I’m happy with the goal, but even more so with the good performances the team put in in both legs of the tie”.

“We will do everything we can to beat Atlético Madrid. We beat them last weekend and I hope that we can do it again with all our fans coming along to get behind us”.
