The Barça first team trained this morning at the Ciutat Esportiva in preparation for the imminent start of the 2014/15 league season. Luis Enrique conducted a session that involved 21 players from the first team, although Vermaelen did separate exercises and Adriano only joined his colleagues for some of the activities.

The big news was the return of Pedro Rodríguez, who missed the Gamper with gastroenteritis and has been doing specific exercises all week. Today he was able to train normally for the first time since his illness.

The session also featured three players from the reserves, namely: Samper, Sandro and Munir. Meanwhile, Ter Stegen and Neymar worked on specific exercises as part of their respective recoveries from injury.

The first team has one more training session on Sunday morning before their first Liga fixture, at home to Elche later the same day at 9.00 PM CET.
