Calendar of the matches until the end of the year / SÓNIA ALMODÓVAR-FCB

FC Barcelona will be kept very busy indeed once the international break is over. Between November 22 and December 20, less than a month, they have nine games in La Liga, the Spanish Cup and the Champions League. That averages out at one game every 3.2 days.

Demanding start

In the space of just nine days, Barça host Sevilla (Saturday 22) and travel to Nicosia (Tuesday 25) and Valencia (Saturday 29). In other words, one week to play two of the leading clubs in this season’s Liga and a match in between on which much of Barça’s hopes of finishing top of their Champions League group are hanging.

That’s followed by the first Copa del Rey match of the season, at Huesca (Wednesday 3), and two home fixtures at the Camp Nou. And these are not any old games. The first is the city derby against Espanyol (Sunday 7) and the second is the crunch Champions League match against current group leaders PSG (Tuesday 10).

The last road trip of the year is to Getafe (Saturday 13), as was also the case in 2013. After that Huesca visit the Camp Nou for the second leg of the cup tie (Tuesday 16) followed by Cordoba (Saturday 20) in the final game before the Christmas and New year break.
