Luis Enrique has announced this Friday the 18 man squad for the trip to Madrid to take on Getafe. The name of Neymar Jr is missing from the list as the Brazilian has been left out of the party as a precaution due to an left ankle problem. Neymar is the only absentee through injury along with Thomas Vermaelen who is still recovering from surgery. Of the players available those who have been left out of the squad are Montoya, Douglas, Sergi Roberto and Masip.

The full list is as follows: Ter Stegen, Bravo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Xavi, Pedro, Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Rafinha, Mascherano, Bartra, Jordi Alba, Adriano, Dani Alves, Mathieu and Munir.

With the squad list announced the team will now head to the airport to catch a flight to Madrid ahead of Saturday’s clash with Getafe.

The team trained on Friday in their final session before the game against Getafe. The club from Madrid will be Luis Enrique and his team’s first opponents following their excellent performance against PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday. The coach had all his available players for the session as well as Munir from the B squad. However, Neymar left training early with an ankle problem and Thomas Vermaelen was also absent as he continues his recovery from his recent surgery.
