Neymar's winning strike

The Barça striker scored late on from a free kick to give Brazil a 1-0 win against Colombia in Miami

Neymar marked his debut as Brazil captain by scoring a brilliant late free kick to help Colmbia 1-0 in a feisty friendly in Miami, as Dunga’s rebuilding after the side’s World Cup disappointment thus got off to a winning start in front of more than 75,000 fans at the Miami Dolphins Sun Life Stadium.

Cuadrado sent off

This was anything but a “friendly”, particularly for Neymar , who suffered a broken vertebrae when the two sides met in the World Cup and was soon been regularly scythed down by the tough tackling Colombians, who saw Cuadrado sent off just after half time for a second yellow.

Brazil had the better chances, with Oscar and Neymar himself having good opportunities to score – Neymar also had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half – and when the Barça man curled home a brilliant free kick on 82 minutes to seal the win, it was no more than Brazil deserved.
