Neymar and Brazil win 2-1 in Vienna

Goals from David Luiz and Firmino give the 'canarinha' the victory Neymar started and was substituted in the 91st minute

Brazil and Neymar Jr won again on Tuesday evening, topping hosts Austria 2-1 in the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. The Barça forward played virtually the entire game, being subsituted by coach Dunga in injury time.

The opening half saw few chances for either side. The Austrians proved to be much more serious opponents than the Turks had been for the ‘canarinha’ just a few days before.

The break came with Brazil defender Miranda having been replaced due to injury and a 0-0 scoreline that was a fair reflection of events.

Second half goals

The script changed in the second half with David Luiz giving Brazil the lead after 63 minutes. The centre half finshed from a corner to put the visitors ahead although their advantage was shortlived — Austrian defender Dragovic equalised from the penalty spot after Oscar had brought down Wiemann in the box.

The game appeared headed for a draw only for Hoffenheim midfielder Firmino to crash home a stunning drive to win the game for Brazil late in the second half.

Neymar Jr was replaced in the 91st minute by Marquinhos after being unable to add to his tally for the national side.
