Leo Messi finished off a day full of goals from FC Barcelona players on the international stage. The Argentina captain played for 30 minutes and scored twice. Javier Mascherano also appeared and played the last 15 minutes in the 7-0 dismantling of Hong Kong.

Two goals, one assist

Messi didn't get into the game until it was already 4-0, as Argentina used several reserves. His first goal of the day came just five minutes after coming into the game.

The Barça superstar fed Gaitán for the sixth goal and then scored the seventh and final goal of the day himself. Messi made a big impact on the match even though it was already over when he entered, thanks to tallies from Banega, Gaitán, and Higuaín, who got two.
