Messi, Neymar and Suárez: International goals all round

The FC Barcelona strikers all scored in this week's international friendly fixtures for Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay

Leo Messi, Neymar Jr and Luis Suárez have started to shine together at Barça just as they have been doing separately with their respective national sides in recent years. They have reminded us of that fact in this week’s international matches: all three found the net in the friendly games in which they were involved.

Messi’s winner: The Argentine captain gave his team the victory in their comeback against Croatia in London. The blaugrana number 10 scored from the penalty spot after Sergio Agüero had been brought down to make the final score 2-1.

Neymar’s double: The Brazil striker continued his excellent recent form. He found the net twice in the ‘canarinha’ 4-0 victory over Turkey in Istanbul. Neymar now has 42 goals with the Brazilian national side.

Luis Suárez’s great strike: The Uruguayan scored a wonderful goal against Costa Rica in Montevideo. Minutes into the second half, Suárez controlled the ball on the edge of the box with his chest and then whistled an unstoppable shot past goalkeeper Keylor Navas. The goal helped Uruguay salvage a 3-3 draw.

Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez are all vital attacking components of the Argentine, Brazilian and Uruguyan national side respectively. All three played the entire 90 minutes in the midweek friendly fixtures.
