Messi, amb Issa N’Diaye, en el documental 'Sueños de héroes'

Lionel Messi is admired all around the world for his football, his modesty and for playing at Barça. For many children around the world, meeting the Argentinian footballer in person is something they dream about. For a young Senegalese boy from the malaria hit town of Saly, that dream ended up coming true.

The story of Issa N’Diaye and Leo Messi is told in the documentary titles ‘Sueños de héroes’ (Heroes’ dreams). The film tells how a visit from the Argentine to the Senegalese fishing village changed a young boy’s life. “I remember that the trip was very nice, I saw some spectacular things and I got to know how life is there,” explains Messi, who spearheaded the delivery of 400,000 mosquito nets to help in the battle against malaria. Issa N’Diaye’s dream continued as he was able to make the trip to Barcelona to visit the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper where he spent some time with Leo Messi.

The documentary is directed by Xavier Barange and Luciano Olivera and was premiered on Thursday at the Festival BCN Sports Film.
