Luis Enrique is looking forward to a great game/ MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

Barça boss Luis Enrique Martínez reckons that tomorrow’s match against Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou should be a cracker of a game: "There's only one ball on the pitch and both teams want it, we’ll have to see who manages things best. This is the most attractive match up in Europe right now”. With both sides employing the same attractive tactics, Luis Enrique believes the game will be decided by small details. "It’s clear that we have a lot of individual skills which can turn a match like this, but we are also solid at the back and our collective solidarity makes us stronger."

I like Bayern and the way they are very intense in attack and firm at the back

Even though the German champions are coming into the game with a long list of injuries, Luis Enrique insisted: “The Bayern squad is strong enough for them to shrug off the absences. Pep has taken the great things about the side and added his own personal touch. I like them, the way they are very intense in attack and firm at the back."

Guardiola's return

The match will of course be special because it marks the return of Pep Guardiola to the Camp Nou, but Luis Enrique insisted that: “We aren’t going into this match as a game to beat Pep. It’ll be good to see him, but my players know how important this game is, there’s a final up for grabs and this is such a big game it’s about more than just specific people."

Luis Enrique dealt with a number of other points:

"The fact that we score a lot and concede few goals shows we are a compact side – when we attack we all pour forward and when we defend, we all come back. That is key for success."

"Knowing Pep, I am sure he’ll try things to make life hard for us, but we have resolved the problems other teams have set us throughout the season and we’ll go about the game against Bayern in the same way."

"I don’t think there is any favourite. We will play as we always do, because we don’t know any other way. Sure, we’ll be strong at home with our fans behind us, but we will go into the second leg in the same way.”

"Ter Stegen dominates his goal and is good with his feet. He’s got a big personality and knows how to deal with pressure. We are very happy with his first year here, he’s still young and has a great future ahead of him.”
