Luis Enrique speaks his mind. While he said the team were just awful in the first half of their match against Almería, on Tuesday night he explained that they were "spectacular." The manager said they played a "complete match" and left a "marvellous impression."

“It's easy to say that this is the team I want to see all season long. If we play like that we're going to be tough to beat," he opined after his team's 4-0 romp over Apoel Nicosia.

He explained that his team played so well that they didn't allow Apoel to play like they usually do. “It's quite a feat to keep your opponent almost completely away from your own goal area for the entire first half. It's pretty satisfying," he declared. But, he added, “If we had let up a bit, they would have come at us harder. Apoel showed at Camp Nou and against both PSG and Ajax that they're tough to beat." I'll say it again: He's the best ever in this game

He also talked about some of his players, first and foremost, Leo Messi. “I'll say it again: He's the best ever in this game”. He also talked about Luis Suárez: “His goal is a side note because it was coming sooner or later. He brings us a lot more than goals."

He also commented on Alves and Rafinha, who were sanctioned and now will not face PSG. “Alves not playing isn't a disaster, because this is a team. We knew it was a risk," he assured. The coach also said that they had spoken to Rafinha at halftime about being careful. "With the way the game was going, we knew there was a bit of a risk."
