After Barça beat Villarreal 3-1 in the first leg of the Spanish Cup semi-finals, head coach Luis Enrique, gave his analysis: "It's a good result but, perhaps, we could have done better. We deserved more." He was very happy with the way his squad played, "especially giving up the ball," he added. He also liked how the team were able to contain Villarreal's counter attacks and acknowledged that he was a bit surprised to see such a defensive approach from their rivals.

When asked about who is supposed to be taking penalty kicks, Luis Enrique was clear: "We make a list and then the players decide."

Barça will return to El Madrigal with a two-goal lead. "Being up 3-1 heading into the second leg does not change our mentality, we'll go into that match looking to win. I expect a very difficult match. The goal is not to score, but to win," he said.

Bartomeu thinks they looked good

At the end of the match, Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu was delighted with Barça's tenth consecutive victory. "The most important thing is how the team looked. They played at a high level for all 90 minutes. The match at Villarreal will be tough," he said. Bartomeu also emphasized "the commitment of the team" and believed they deserved the standing ovation given by the Camp Nou crowd "for demonstrating good football and their desire to win."
