Luis Enrique reviews UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum

“I'm leaving happy" said the FC Barcelona manager. And I hope that all we've talked about will help to unify criteria for the next edition of the Champions League"

Luis Enrique has spent Tuesday and Wednesday at UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum in Nyon (Switzerland), and before returning to Barcelona he commented on what a positive experience it has been.

Speaking to www.fcbarcelona.com, the FC Barcelona coach said that "it’s been really interesting to attend this two-day meeting in Nyon. We have learned about the new regulations for the Champions League next season and analyzed each of our different views about the competition ... I'm leaving happy. And I hope that all we've talked about will help to unify criteria for the next edition of the Champions League"."

Meeting among friends

Luis Enrique already knew most of the managers who were attending the meeting, and which included a particularly familiar face in former FCB first team boss Pep Guardiola. “It was like a friendly gathering of old friends that hadn’t been together for a long time” he said. “It was an enriching experience to able to talk to people like Pep Guardiola, Michel, Rafa Benitez, Unai Emery, Mourinho and Filippo Inzagi, and in a laid back, cordial environment.”
