The Barça first team returned to training on Monday evening after having the weekend off, with most of the squad away on international duty and due to report back to Luis Enrique over the next few days.

That meant only nine first team players were in attendance: Montoya, Xavi, Douglas, Adriano, Alves and Masip although Rafinha and Vermaelen did join them for some of the exercises. The group was also boosted by the presence of Adrián Ortolá, the Barça B goalkeeper.

There will be another session on Tuesday at 11.00 AM CET, which will involve Spanish internationals Piqué, Sergio, Pedro, Iniesta, Bartra and Jordi Alba, fresh back from their 4-0 win in Luxembourg on Sunday night.
